Music on ciLiving
This segment was recorded at the City Center in Champaign. It was a series of four segments that aired on a ciLiving show c. December 2024. We used a portable switcher and three cameras. I switched this segment while two of my outstanding crewmembers ran cameras. Audio was mixed by Tom Grassman. The other three segments recorded that day can be found on the band’s YouTube channel, linked below.
We traveled to Monticello High School to record their madrigal singers. This segment aired on ciLiving c. December 2023. It was a three camera setup with a portable switcher. Audio was captured on choir mics.
2022 Gubernatorial Debate
I had to opportunity to serve as the Technical Director for this syndicated Nexstar production. I operated a Ross Carbonite switcher out of one of Nexstar’s production trucks for the broadcast from Illinois State University in Normal, IL.
ciLiving: Heather's Cookie Exchange Show, 2018
This is the first segment of a special edition of ciLiving that I shot and edited in 2018. The body of the show was recorded in a viewer’s home, while several of the segments were shot at different local businesses and homes in the area. Looking back, there are a few lighting changes I would make, but overall, I’m happy with how this show turned out!
ciLiving: Single Camera "LookLive" Segments
This single camera looklive segment aired on ciLiving, c. 2022.
This was one of three segments Heather and I recorded with the one and only Marvin Lee at his home. All three were shot on a single camera, and I recorded the five audio tracks on a Zoom portable mixer. (3 lav mics capturing vocals/speech, 2 stick mics capturing guitars) The other two segments can be found on my YouTube channel linked above.

WCIA Field Production Reel, 2018
This is a short reel of different “live on location” shows I have been a part of. I either directed or ran camera for all of these.
